Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Saratoga County Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which pages are used. Cookies or comparable technologies may be used for basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data supports operation, problem diagnosis, traffic measurement, and improvement of the reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Sites and Search Tools
Links may lead to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, or third-party search tools. The privacy policy of the destination controls information submitted there, including any sponsored search-result provider. Review that policy before entering personal information.
When Data Is Shared
Hosting and support providers process the routine logs needed to operate the site. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the technical information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure or when a service provider needs it to perform its role.
Data Safeguards
The site uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the site has no visitor accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website keeps. Research for this site did not identify a comprehensive New York consumer-privacy statute, but visitors may still use the Contact page to request review of the limited contact-mailbox or server-log data we control. New York record-specific protections remain separate: the Address Confidentiality Program under Executive Law §108 and confidential voter registration under Election Law §5-508 protect qualifying addresses and voter records. Public records held by state, county, or city custodians are outside our control, and requests about them belong with the custodian.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will appear on this page. Continued use after a posted change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
